Lebenslauf Massimo Stefanizzi

Geboren in Venedig, absolvierte seine musikalischen Studien am Konservatorium von Venedig, studierte Klassische Gitarre (Angelo Amato), Elektronische Musik (Alvise Vidolin) und Komposition (Ugo Amendola), Diplom mit Höchstpunktezahl. Ging 1982 nach Bologna, studierte hier Musikwissenschaft, schloss sein Studium der Künste, Musik und Schauspiel mit einer Dissertation bei Lorenzo Bianconi im Fach Musikalische Dramaturgie über Mozarts Zauberflöte mit Auszeichnung ab.

Seit 1985 als Komponist aktiv, u.a. wurde seine Komposition Paradigma ausgezeichnet und veröffentlicht. 1988 bis 1999 für die Biennale von Venedig tätig, Tonmeister bei den Internationalen Filmfestspielen in Venedig.

Teilnahme an zahlreichen nationalen und internationalen Veranstaltungen und Festivals, z.B. Cantiere Internazionale di Montepulciano, Stiftung Gulbenkian in Lissabon, Schloss Schönbrunn, Österreichische Nationalbibliothek, Wiener Konzerthaus. Nahm außerdem CD- und Rundfunkproduktionen auf.

Zusammenarbeit mit dem RIAS Jugendorchester Berlin, dem European Touring Orchestra London, dem Da Ponte Ensemble und mit dem Orchester des Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venedig. Arbeitete auch für das Theater, schrieb u.a. die Musik für „Bedbound“ von Enda Walsh, Aufführung 2003 im Wiener Theater Künstlerhaus. Zusammenarbeit mit Leon Askin, dokumentiert in einem biografischen Film über den Hollywoodschauspieler. Neben einer umfangreichen Konzerttätigkeit auch im lehrenden Bereich aktiv: Unterrichtete an Konservatorien in Venedig, São Miguel (Portugal) und Wien, hielt v.a. in Italien regelmäßig Meisterklassen ab. Seit 1987 Publikationen im musikwissenschaftlichen Bereich, u.a. über die Vermittlung musikalischen Wissens.

Stefanizzi lebt seit 1999 in Wien, wo er am Konservatorium für Musik und Dramatische Kunst unterrichtet und als Solist auftritt.

Massimo Stefanizzi

Born in Venice, graduated from Venice Music Conservatoire, studying classical guitar (Angelo Amato), electronic music (Alvise Vidolin) and composition (Ugo Amendola), diploma with maximum marks. Moved in 1982 to Bologna, studying musicology, and completed his studies in art, music and acting with a thesis in musical dramaturgy under Lorenzo Bianconi on Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte with distinction.

Active as a composer since 1985, among others his prize-winning composition Paradigma has been published. Worked for the Venice Biennale from 1988 to 1999, sound engineer for the International Film Festival in Venice.

Took part in numerous national and international productions and festivals, e.g. at the Cantiere internazionale di Montepulciano, the Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon, Schönbrunn Palace, Austrian National Library, Vienna Konzerthaus.

CD and radio productions.
